New kitchen and dining area with internal redecoration works and installation of new aluminium windows and doors

The Project Brief

This project required us to completely refurbish the fire stations’ kitchen and dining area as well as replacing all external aluminium windows and doors and totally redecorate the internal finishes within.

Our Approach

Due to the nature of the fire station being in constant 24 hour operation we were required as part of the scope of works to install a fully functioning temporary kitchen and dining area whilst the internal refurbishment works were completed. We installed Porta cabins to the rear car park area and installed power, water and drainage to service the temporary kitchen which was built within one of the cabins. The windows and doors were installed in parallel with our works within the fire station to enable our on site supervisors to manage the smooth operation of this project and to limit the impact on an extremely busy fire station.

The Outcome

The design of the kitchen was altered by the client whilst the project was being carried out, but with the flexible approach of our craftsmen on site there was no need to extend the programme of works and therefore it was completed within the original timescale and to the customers full satisfaction
